June books

Last month I met my goal for the year of 25 books, so we are pressing on and there have been so many more good reads this month! A quick caveat: If I don't like a book, I don't waste time finishing it.  So far, all recommendations and picks have been a win!
I discovered the Lazy Genius trough podcasts and then after several inspiring and encouraging posts on a myriad of topics, I decided to get her book and I loved it!  Her whole premise is about being a genius about the things that matter and lazy about the things that don't, using 13 different principles/tools.  I would highly recommend this book.

In Kendra Adachi's book, she recommended this book and it was so thought provoking!  Adachi reads it every year and I can see why. It's a helpful tool on focusing on streamlining what is important and that quality over quantity is important.  It would be helpful for work life as well as personal and I was really challenged to think through what would it be like and how would it benefit myself and my family in pursuing less with the goal being that what you are pursuing is what you are meant to be pursuing and therefore, what quality and joy that would bring to your life!  It's another book that I would recommend!

I wasn't able to finish books that I have been reading but as a family we were able to read the book Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as a family.  It was so fun to read it together as a family.   This was the first book that we read with Kit as well. I really have enjoyed reading this series as a family.

Heading out... (Again...)

Today we are heading out on a family road trip to see Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons!  We will camp along the way in our rooftop tent and a friends trailer and rooftop tent.  We have never done anything like this and we are so excited to make memories along the way! WE come back, I jump into working a couple of shifts and then we are heading to Shaver Lake.  So may amazing things ahead and I can't wait for all of it!  Here we go!

Father's Day and Being back together!

While we were in Greece, this kids got some very special time with their grandparents at Grandi Camp.  Here were some photos.  They had time in Redlands and then headed to Santa Maria for camp to be with all the cousins!

We loved that they had a time of making memories and had so much fun!
We were all able to be together for Father's Day and that was such a gift.  We took a hike, made a fun meal, ended the day with s'mores.  We laughed and talked and watched soccer and movies...
It was SO good to be back together!  We are getting ready to head out on a family adventure...
