November Books

I had some fun reads this month! This first was the Life Council by Laura Tremaine.
I enjoyed her unpacking of different relationship types and the role that they play in our life.  I also appreciated that she unpacked the concept that you don't need a one friend to meet all of your needs as well as not needing a bus full of besties.  Different personality types bring different things to your life and understand those different roles of those different friends can make connection even more meaningful.  I would recommend it for sure!
I loved this book.  After going to Paris a couple years ago, I fell in love with this book even more because of her stories and hearing about her life and how Julia Child came to be who she was.  I REALLY enjoyed this book!

sneaking a date with our girl...

While Ryder was at a birthday party, we got to sneak a date with our girl... Sushi and Thrifty's ice cream for the win!

She asked to sit at one of their special booth and she loved it!

Thanksgiving 2023

We spent time in Redlands with our family for Thanksgiving. We ate, laughed, played games, took walks, decorated Christmas trees... and just enjoyed the time together!

Lots of food...
Games in the park...
Such a wonderful holiday and I am so thankful for the time that we had together!  What a gift these moments with our family are!

Catching up...

This is probably my favorite hobby is taking and organizing my family's photos and digital memories...  Recently I had lots of photos to catch up on! It's the week of Thanksgiving and I can't wait to make more memories together...

It makes me happy to look through and remember the sweet memories we make as a family and inevitably, the kids look through the books I pull out and we share in the memories all over again together...

We made it!

Last week, due to the hangar fires, the kids did virtual learning all week.  They had the best attitudes and handled it like champs! Right before we headed off on break, we got the news that our school was cleared to come back after the break, and we are all so happy about it! They missed their routines and their friends...

The current state of the hangars...
The ends will be demolished soon...

soccer for our girl

This last weekend, Eden's team made it to the semi-finals in the Mayor's Cup.  Due to the fires, our tournament was moved to Orange and our girl played her heart out. We are so proud of how hard they worked.

As the season came to a close, she was so excited to get invited to play for the All-Star team.  She is an incredible goalie and mid-fielder and to see her picked made her feel so special...

We are excited for this next adventure!

making fresh mozzarella...

This weekend we made our own fresh mozzarella!

Eden and Kit headed up the project (Ryder has a slight cheese aversion...) and it was so fun to learn something new!
We then made homemade pizzas!
We will absolutely be doing this again!!!
