Christmas Vacation, here we come!

Today is our first day of Christmas vacation!
Lots of celebrations have been happening at school this last week!
It all started on Monday with this:
When your second grader doesn't have to do any writing projects or CORE math, it feels like you are on vacation!❤︎
On Wednesday, Ryder had his class Christmas party:
Eden got out of her class during their party, so after checking with Ryder, she was invited...❤︎
 She felt like such a big kid!
They had a book exchange, played relay races, made ornaments, played Christmas Bingo, did a Christmas ring toss, then ate treats and drank cocoa while watching the Grinch!  It was such a fun party!
He is SO excited about Christmas!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yesterday, Eden had hers:
They made Christmas trees with icing and candy:
They decorated ornaments:
Then ate a plate full of goodies and had extra play time on the playground!
And the best part of the ENTIRE party...?
Mrs. Wigley was BACK!!!
She has been on a medical leave and we haven't had her in the classroom for over a month and a half!  It felt like Christmas came early.❤︎  I got choked up when I saw her.  I can't tell you how much we ADORE this woman!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, today we enjoy that we have two weeks off!  We are looking forward to all the family time that lies ahead and all the opportunities to celebrate the birth of JESUS!❤︎

brown paper packages wrapped up with string....

Today is the last day the kiddos are in school before Christmas vacation, so I'm finishing up teacher gifts, gifts for the kids, and family presents before heading to school for the class parties.  All over our house are spots that look like this:
And as the chickens have been molting, I have been having fun giving the last of their eggs as gifts:
We should will have everything done in time...❤︎
I am ready to spend some time with these little munches over the break!

Year of the Grinch!

Ok, Kit has wanted to make our outdoor Christmas decorations more exciting over the years.  I felt like we really upped the fun factor when i said yes to color LED C9 lights... Nope, not fun enough for Kit.  About three years ago he saw something he wanted to do on our house, and this year, he decided to finally make it happen!
I give you, the year of the Grinch:
The whole family was involved...
 Then it came time for details...
We all got to sign it!

T'was the Night 2017

Every year, our church's family team creates a Christmas evening for our church!
These were some snapshots of our POLAR EXPRESS evening!
We went with our Life Group and had so much fun being with the sweet families that make up ROCKHARBOR!
 There was a train ride around our campus...
 and cookie decorating and cocoa...

 The evening ended with SNOW!
 I love this evening so much!  WE look forward to it every year.  I am so proud of our family ministry team ad for all that they do to make the night so memorable!
