Soccer Days

On Saturday we were at the fields all day in Long Beach for preseason scrimmages.

Cheering on our little guy!
Trying to distance and celebrate a win when you are exhausted can be tricky...
But his happy hair never disappoints....
This kid LOVES playing sports and he is so happy to be out on the fields again for these scrimmages.  he can wait for the season to start!

Him

Last weekend, Kit was on his backpacking trip with Eden, so we weren't able to have our date day.  We made up for it this last Friday with a date in Corona Del Mar.  First with breakfast, then a walk on the beach...

I really, really love this man...
I'm grateful for every moment and memory that we have together.

Fridays with Favorites...

Our Mia and Papa stay over on Thursday nights after being with the kids so that Kit and I can work.  So Friday mornings always involve time with our favorites before school...

I know that when they look back on these years of school, getting to have their grandparents here on a regular basis will always be such a highlight.❤︎

soccer family

Ryder and Eden are both playing soccer this season.  Ryder is on the AYSO Elite Fire team.  Eden is planning to be goalie this season

Since Kit is often with Eden as he is her assistant coach, I find myself watching Ryder quite a bit...
So on Tuesdays and Thursdays, this is where you will find our kiddos.  Both are loving it and at some point, I am assured that Kit will get photos of my girl at her practices... I'm still waiting...❤︎

Adventures with Eden Marie...

Kit and Eden had an epic backpacking adventure in the Sierras this last weekend.  They got to go with two of their favorite people:

They went to one of our favorite spots, Mystery Lake, outside of Shaver.
They had the absolute best time together!
Time really goes so fast.  This was her first time at the cabin 2012:
And here they were, almost 9 years later, almost to the day:
Their father/daughter relationship is precious for me to witness!
They are already planning their next adventure!

Time with Ryder...

Over the weekend while Eden and Kit were on their epic back packing adventure with Grandi and Monkey Papa, Ryder and I lived it up at home so that he could be at all of his soccer scrimmages...  We went on a date to Avila's and Ryder practiced all of his manners for being an amazing date.  (He learned all that he knows from watching his dad!)

He got to play soccer and had a couple of scrimmages...

We finally finished Harry Potter's Order of the Phoenix and then watched the movie with home made ramen on Saturday night:
On Sunday, Ryder had his "move up" Sunday where he finished his time in the elementary school group.  The children's ministry crew prayed for him as he prepared to move up to middle school.  Of course we celebrated with our weekly doughnut.  Which reminded me of this photo from 2012:
Of course I had to get a photo of his last day in Children's church...
How does time go so fast!
We celebrated at Victory Diner while we looked at what is coming up for middle school.
Then we came home and watched "Hoosiers" while we ate our burgers.  It was so fun to  have the time together...  I don't just love this kid, but I really, really like him and I just adore spending time with him!
I am so grateful for every second that we had together!

They are back from their backpacking adventure and we are all back under one roof.

P.S. This man... I missed him so much!
