adding to his resume

Ryder has started playing catcher and has been doing an amazing job at it.  He loves that he gets to be in all of the plays!
It's crazy how much power his skinny little arms have as he fires the ball from home to second...
He now plays pitcher, catcher, and short stop and he is loving every second of it!

Our School Open House 2019

Last Thursday was our end of the year Open House... I still can't believe that we are heading into the end of the year, it feels like just yesterday that we were gearing up at Back to School night!
First, Ryder's classroom:
It was a red carpet theme for the videos they made in their science section:
The thing he was most excited to show us was the science project they did on on owl pellets:
I love his teacher!  Mrs. Shenton is the BEST!
Then we headed to Eden's class:
She was most excited to show us the quail that had just hatched:
Also any chance she had to do an art project, she is all about it!
We love our Ms. Aarvig! This is our second year with her and she is the absolute best!
It is so fun for us to see all their hard work and see all of their friends and parents that we love!
I don't think that we can say it enough how much we love our school!
We then celebrated all of their hard work a t a local Italian Tustin favorite that we hadn't been able to visit yet!
Baked lasagna with a side of meatballs was a huge hit!

Crystal Cove and the Beachcomber...

On Kit's day off on Tuesday we decided to spend the day at Crystal Cove, visit the tidepools, and eat lunch at the Beachcomber!
 Kit snuck these...
A front row table made for an incredible lunch!
Spending time with him will always be good for my soul...

catching our breath and filling our bellies...

Kit took the day off on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday we decided to go to a local place that had been recommended by a friend for having amazing pizza...
I had their butterfly pea flower tea with lemonade:
not only gorgeous but delicious!
 Brussel sprouts for the WIN!
Such fun to spend with this guy...
2145, you did not disappoint and we we can't wait to be back!

Easter Shenanigans 2019

After all of our church celebrations had come to an end, we headed to home a ham and potato dinner, egg hunt, dying easter eggs and eating carrot cake!

I can't tell you how sweet it was to be together.  Last March 6,  2018, Our Monkey Papa had open heart surgery and had been followed by some very scary moments.  It was not lost on us what an absolute gift and blessing it was to all be together for the Easter holiday.
