The Quackenbush Wedding Bash!

This last April, my cousin Katie was married in Georgia, only weeks before her husband would be deployed.  He returned this last November, and this last Saturday, we were able to celebrate them at their wedding reception.
All of the guys in our family did bowties, tied by my dad:
Cocktails and appetizers:
They served every drink or "quacktail" with a tiny rubber duck:
 The kids were SO EXCITED!
The Cuvier Club in La Jolla was beautiful!
The table:
She had surprises and treats for the kiddos at the table and they had so much fun with it!
We ate great food, danced until out feet hurt, had fun taking pictures in a photo booth, and watched Ryder catch the garter... Yep... a very full and wonderful evening!
We love you Mr. and Mrs. Quackenbush!  Welcome to the family Taylor!

Meet Cotton Candy

On Saturday morning, Eden attended a birthday party for her little friend from school and soccer and it was held at Build-A-Bear.  It was Eden's first time there!
This was her pick:
Meet Cotton Candy:
And to top it all off, the party ended with these cookies:
Her mind was BLOWN on so many levels and it was such a treat to watch her experience it all and have so much fun with her friends!❤︎

Cap Night 2018

On this last Friday night, Ryder had his cap night for Single A baseball.  This was the first time that he had to tryout and go through a draft pick.  He has the Coach/Manager that he has had for the last two years and we all LOVE him, Kit is assisting, and he got to be with many of his friends and team mate from last year and from school.
We could not be more excited for what this season holds!❤︎

babies

I have saved Ryder and Eden's baby clothes for a very special project that my mom is helping to make happen.  We recently went through their clothes and Oh. My. Goodness.  We had the best time going down memory lane and sharing stories...
Like when we pulled out Ryder's first pair of Rainbows and Eden's first pair of sandals:
I can't wait to work on this project with my mom!
It's going to be SO FUN!

Unicorns and Rainbows

We are having a small family party for Eden's 6th birthday in February.  The request was a unicorn cake, getting to dress up, and craft with people that she loves.  If you know my girl, you know that this is right up her alley!
So I pulled more from the unicorn theme from this book:
It is the sweetest story about a little unicorn that believes little girls REALLY exist and how magical and wonderful they are...❤︎
Now all I see is unicorn items everywhere!
Eden and I found a unicorn stamp and pulled out our embossing stuff to make the invitations:
(When you aren't making many, it feels so much more doable...)
 Glitter paper everywhere!
We are researching crafts: everything from decorating and painting their own frames to making unicorn horns to making unicorn glitter goop...  With each idea, my girl gets more and more excited!
I can't wait to celebrate her!

handmade

For Christmas, my Dad gave my sister and I the sweetest gift:  He handmade a cutting board with intricate cuts and a design:
It was his first one ever:
I have it out on my counter and I think of him every time I look at it:
 Dad, you are the BEST!❤︎

An Afternoon with Harry Potter

On Sunday, we were able to celebrate our little buddy's 8th birthday!  He had a Harry Potter themed birthday, and even though the kids haven't read the books or seen the movies, they are all about celebrating the people that they love!
My friend Ana did an incredible job with the details!
There was even quiditch match and she made brooms out of pool noodles and fringed brown wrapping paper!
 There were snitch cupcakes...
And so many sweet memories to be made and shared!
