Lots of adventures coming…

We are heading out this weekend for a soccer tournament and then next Tuesday we are leaving for Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, and Montenegro. We will see you when we get back!

Learning and growing...

A couple of weekends ago, Ryder had a full weekend of sports, where he played 3 soccer games for a tournament in Costa Mesa and 1 baseball game.  

He and his team won his baseball game and won two of the soccer games and then they lost the championship game. It's easy for us to give accolades for the victories, but there is a beautiful thing that happens in watching the man you are raising show up and give his all.  I've come to realize that he learns more about himself as a human being and athlete in the losses than in the winning. It won't be perfect, but in the practice of him giving his best in ALL things and continuing to humbly show up, his character will be built, his leadership will be developed, his insecurities   will be overcome, his friendships will be fortified, and his athletic skills will be honed in perseverance.  All this with the goal that the WHO he is OFF the field will always be more important than what he can do on the field. We are proud of these kids of ours!

Getting one step closer...

 We saw our orthodontist last week for Eden.  We are getting one step closer to braces for our girl... Look at that cute girl and all of her pearly whites!

Her smile is one of my all-time favorites!

Getting spoiled by sweet friends!

 For Eden's birthday, her best buddy gifted her a pottery making class!  They had the best time and Eden is now hooked... 

They celebrated at Islands afterward for dinner and dessert.  My girl felt so spoiled and loved.  

I see more pottery classes in our future...❤︎

Baseball moments

 Ryder loves his baseball coach.  He has had the same coach since coach pitch when he was six.  I will miss moments like this in the dugout...

They had another great game on Saturday and the energy was so good!

They are the best part of me...

I don't know how I got this family of mine, but I thank Jesus every day that I we get to belong to each other. 

Her first slumber party!

 For Eden's 10th birthday, she requested to have her first slumber party with one of her best friends Lila. She made the menu of their favorite snacks, In-N-Out was chosen as dinner of choice, and I made cookie dough for home made pazookies...  They activities for the night were face masks, manicures and pedicures, jewelry making, pillow fights, playing with the bunnies, and watching lots of movies.  They also planned to sleep in a tent in our living room.

Watermelon Crushers

 On Saturday, Eden's Spring Soccer Season kicked off!

It was so great to be back out on the fields again!

Opening Day!

 This last Friday, we had our last Cap night for our Tustin Eastern Little League Majors team.  This will be the last season that Ryder will play in this Little League, and after 6 years, I am feeling all kinds of feelings about it...

On Saturday, they had their first game and it was a shut out where they won 25-0.  We had some very special guests make it out to the game:

We are excited for the memories that will be made this final season and I love that we get to make a few more memories together...
