OFF TO VACATION!

We are heading up to get the kiddos and then spend the week at our favorite little spot in Oxnard!
Oh we can't wait to see our kiddos and hear about all the FUN they had!
Their Grandi and Monkey Papa are the BEST!

Visiting Doc McStuffins...

Eden has been begging me to take her to the new exhibit at our local Discovery Center and we finally went.  She asked it to be just us girls and we had a REALLY fun time. (I will say that it was pretty crowded but people moved along and we got our turn at everything she wanted to see...)
In addition to the exhibit, we loved doing our Dinosaur exploring and grocery shopping!
 And grocery shopping...
We had a really special time and she LOVED getting to take care of the dollies...
Time with my kids is just the best!

Tiny Dancer...

Last week Eden FINALLY had her dance recital.  Little miss has been talking about it since this last February! She was SO excited and she did SO WELL!
First she had her dress rehearsal the Wednesday before:
It was her first time on a stage and she was so COMFORTABLE up there...
The day of the recital we were all so excited to finally see the whole show!
She had to wait for almost 2 hours to go on.  I was probably the most painful part of the day...
They really did handle it like champs though!
We used the time to photo our tiny dancer...
I was so happy that I got to be a parent volunteer for her group!
She NAILED it with so much enthusiasm and personality that my heart just swelled with pride:
After ward, i found her like this:
We loved our teacher Ms. Barbara:
We had some very special guests come into town for the event!
They were so sweet to make the drive out for her recital!
 She also got flowers...
It was a memory that we won't forget!

Kit's Birthday...

Kit's birthday always seems to be in the shuffle of school or staff retreats on Father's day. We always want to celebrate this guy because of who he is to us and how special we think he is!  This year, his birthday fell on Ryder's last day of school. We just went with it...
I came downstairs and the kids were making cards.  Completely on their own...
We had to wake him early since it was a school day... If you have to wake someone up, it's nice to be woken up with bacon maple bars...
They were SO excited to give him their cards:
He went for a bike ride with his buddy, James, and then we all napped and watched the ESPN 30 for 30 Celtics and Lakers documentary.  It was REALLY good!
Eden napped and it was precious...
(I still can't believe she is a Kindergartener...)
When I asked Kit what he wanted for dinner, he requested home made pizzas.  YUM!

It was a very special day, and I'm thankful for this man's life and how we are able to share our lives with each other...
