Preparing for Easter...

We have been preparing our hearts for the celebration of Good Friday and Easter Sunday...
We have been placing little reminders around our house....
There are no words to express what JOY is there is in our Jesus and the gift He gave in His sacrifice on the cross.
The Pure LOVE that was displayed...
To even attempt to comprehend it takes my breath away.
We chose a portion from one of our favorite worship songs to display on our family board for this Easter season:
From "Resurrecting" by Elevation Worship...
Because That is what Easter is all about... Our victorious Savior who LOVES us with such intensity and tenderness came for US!  Where we are in the state we are in...
I can't believe that kind of love exists and is open for a relationship with us!
He is ever moving towards us, always fighting for us, never giving up, always faithful, with a never ending, reckless love...
Because Love Changes Everything!

Soldering lesson

After we finished replacing the sinks in the master bedroom, we decided to replace the sink in the kids bathroom as well.  Once we started the project, Kit realized that he would have to replace and repair more than he was planning on.  That led to Ryder's first soldering lesson and first use of the blow torch... Just a typical project at the Rae's house...❤︎
The new piece that he helped to create:
The old piece that they were replacing! (YUCK!)
These moments bring such pride to our little guy, when he can stand back and see something that he has made and how it can make something better than it was before... And that he got to do it with his dad brings his little heart even more joy!❤︎
The sink before:
And after:
I owe my plumber and his apprentice some major LOVE!

Monkey Papa

On March 6, Kit's dad had open heart surgery to repair a congenital heart defect that he had had since birth.  I am so proud of this man and how he has bravely moved through surgery and recovery. There have been some really scary moments but God is so good and so faithful, even in the hardest and darkest moments! We are SO thankful to be on the other side of his surgery date.
(Pictures from the kids for his hospital room.
High fives for their Monkey Papa!)
He is now HOME!
He came home March 18th and we are SO happy that have him out of the hospital!
Thank you to all those that prayed for our dad and our family.  Kit was able to be there the first week and that meant so much to Kit.  We are looking forward to lots of adventures in the coming months and years!
We love you Monkey Papa!

An "Egg-stravaganza"...

Yesterday, we spent our first day of Spring Break at Irvine Regional's Egg-stravaganza...
We started with feeding the ducks.  We brought bread to give them:
Then we headed to take some photos and to an egg hunt:
Then we headed in for the egg hunt:
Then we headed to the OC Zoo:
We then took our train ride:
We ended our time with a picnic, tree climbing, and reading our library books...
It was such a sweet day...
The next few days they will be out with their grandparents.  Spring break always seems to go SO FAST!  Please time, slow down...❤︎

Spring Celebrations

Yesterday, Eden's class had their "Spring Celebration" as the last hooray before Spring Break next week.  Ryder' doesn't have nearly as many celebrations but he is so sweet to encourage her and tell her how much fun Mrs. Wigley's parties are...
The time celebration started with an egg hunt in the garden...
 ...In really cute hats...
 ...With really cute "baskets!"
Then they worked on a little S.T.E.M. project, making houses for their marshmallow peeps:
I love each and every chance that I get to be in her classroom... Time goes so fast!
Each little person was sent home with a little goodie bag:
It was SUCH fun and we are SO excited that we get to switch gears and head into Easter Vacation!
