Heading into Halloween weekend...

 This halloween looks so different than others, but Kit and I were determined to make it so special for our kiddos.  One of our favorite things is planning and making costumes.  They were able to wear them to school, but we are not trick-or-treating, and having to wear masks and distance made the whole thing even more interesting.  So this year we decided to look at what we have and focus on comfort and of course, OUR BUNNY! We took things we had from home:

And made a "Baby Yoda" or "The Child" costume from the Mandalorian
I got cheep sunglasses for the kids off of Amazon for 4 dollars total.
We threw them on with black shirts and earpieces from work (after they were cleaned of course!)
So may I Introduce you to the Child and her off-screen body guards:
It was so fun to put this together! We are looking forward to a weekend of pumpkin carving, dropping off little treats for neighbors, making our favorite soup, creating gummy candy kabobs and watching a movie with popcorn...
No matter what is happening, I love that I get to do it with these three!

Before school...

 ...we read Harry Potter together.  The kids sit on my bed and play with the bunny while I read chapters out loud...  We are currently reading book 4, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."

I never want to forget how sweet these moments are.  I am so so grateful for these children of mine!

Always crafting and creating...

 Eden completed a mermaid doll Kit that she was given at Christmas...

She was so excited to finish it...
"Emma" is now living with Eden's other dolls and having a blast...❤︎
~~~~~~
And because crafting was so fun, she decided to organize her markers and draw.
She's always creating and we absolutely love it!
Sister Time!
 My cousin Heather was here from Idaho and we were able to squeeze in some sister time!  First, we got doughnuts at OLIBOLI:
Then we went on a walk on the Tustin Branch Trail -(Esplanade Trail):
We also visited a favorite community fairy garden:
Then ate at Christakis in Tustin on their outdoor patio.  We ate outside but I haven't eaten in a restaurant since March.   It felt fun and weird.  Out side was really nice!
We had a really wonderful visit and I am so grateful that I have these women in my life...
Sweet treats from sweet neighbors...
 We came home and our new neighbors were hosting a drive by baby shower.  We have met and talked and all that good stuff, and they are the kindest people ever... She came over with these sweet cookies for the kiddos:
What a treat to have neighbors like these!
How will they look?
 On Tuesday, we took Eden to the optometrist to assess her possible need for glasses.
The puff of air was her least favorite part...
She is the best!
She picked such cute glasses!
She was so excited that she could get real glasses like her friends at school, and I think that she is excited to see a little bit easier in class...  She kept asking ,"But mom, how will they look? Will I look different?" Then I found this photo on my phone:
We laughed about this little filter.  I'm excited that she can be more comfortable with seeing and that we are able to get the tools that she needs!
Heading to the World Series...
 On Sunday night we watched the Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves in game seven 4-3.  It was so exciting and our little sports enthusiast was absolutely beside himself.  He had the hardest time falling asleep...
He loved watching Cody Bellinger do his interview about his home run that clenched their win...
(Photo taken by Ryder...)
Seriously, he was SO excited!  If we have ever been in a season that we could use a win like this, it was this year in 2020.  We can't wait to watch the World Series! Go Dodgers!
tiny get-aways...
 This last weekend we headed out to Redlands for a little over night get-away for swimming, eating, and movie watching.  Our Mia and Papa were out of town but we were still able to have some fun... First,  we got lunch at a favorite spot:
Then swam...
Looked through yearbooks and down memory lane with my girl...
Then napped while movie watching...
We watched the game 6 of the series to see our Dodgers win and head into game 7.
We ended the weekend with watching church together and then attending our worship night.
And taking communion elements like these...
This is our last Sunday before regathering and I would be lying if I told you that I will not miss these slow Sunday mornings as a family.  This was a wonderful weekend to be away together...❤︎
Oh the books we will read!
 Each holiday season (Halloween - Fall - Thanksgiving - Christmas...) we pull out holiday specific books and rotate them throughout that holiday season.
We don't add to the collection every year, but I think with Covid and being REALLY excited about the change with the holiday time, we added a few this year and wanted to share them!
We have had so much fun with this one!
All have been a welcome addition to our collection and we are so excited to get into this Fall spirit...
