The 2018 NFL draft...

Last Thursday we watched the 2018 NFL Draft pick.
The Broncos got the 5th draft pick of Bradley Chubb from North Carolina State.
Oh my kiddo was SO HAPPY watching all the selections for each of the teams.  He had to wear his hat for the occassion.
Ryder was in charge of the remote and took the job very seriously:
Also, Eden was such a trooper!
When they announced Chubb as the 5th pick...
He then proceeded to go put on ALL of his Broncos apparel.
I never cared about football, or really even sports in general, for that matter.  It didn't matter to me at all.  But it matters to my son, so now I'm the mom hearing all the ESPN stats one could possible handle from their 8 year old and wearing Broncos gear and watching things like the Draft with all of it's analytical commentaries with my favorite sports enthusiast.  And I wouldn't have it any other way...❤︎

date days...

Fridays are for dates.  We drop the kiddos off at school and then we grab a meal and then we walk around our downtown and look at old houses and talk.  It's my favorite day of the week!

sometimes we get fancy...

We had our Costa Mesa Elder board over for dinner.  On a day to day basis, we aren't very fancy, but when we have company, we pull out the dishes we got for our wedding and we make a fun menu and the kids love to be part of the process.
Eden always gets the job of helping me set the table.
I love so many things about this house, but what i love the most is our proximity to our community.  I really love where we live!❤︎

feels like summer...

We went to the pool the other day.  It was the kids second time this season and it was my first this spring.
My kiddos can swim, and can play well with each other!❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎
(That makes pool time a complete game changer for us and it makes these lazy afternoons at the pool even more special and relaxed!)
It feels like summer is on it's way...❤︎

Italy

Yesterday we turned in Ryder's ancestry project.  We have bee working on it over the last 6 weeks and it was so fun to finish it up together:
I am so proud of this kiddo...

baseball

This weekend we had out Little League's 1st Annual pancake breakfast!
Then Ryder had an amazing game, with incredible hits and fielding!  They won 23-2.
There was lots to celebrate and then tickets to be used at the snack shack!
It was a great time to be with our baseball friends and community, cheering our kiddos on!

Time with Mia and Papa!

Kit has been on a work trip this week and we for a few days we had out Mia and Papa come out to be with us to cover me if I worked or was on call.  It was just what we needed!
Ryder got a new game for his birthday and he and Papa played it SO MUCH!
They took me to breakfast while I was on call and the kids were in school and we had such amazing conversations.
They took Eden to make a sewing project for she and her doll:
(I can't wait to see how it comes out!)
And of course they helped us with the morning routine:
They play games, make meals do school drop off and pick ups, they give em a hand with projects and most importantly, LOVE on us is HUGE ways!  We love you Mia and Papa!
Thank you for how you love us...❤︎

Dodged a (dental) bullet!

The kids had their dentist appointments this week. I am telling you, it makes me SO nervous when the dentist looks at me and asks how the flossing is going.  The truth is, it's hit and miss and I feel horrible every time.  She is always so sweet to encourage me and tell me how even though there are no cavities THIS time, we want to prevent them from happening.  I always feel like I have dodged a bullet...  I am so thankful to the staff that make the experience so positive!
Now if we could just get that flossing thing down...

I'm still laughing at this silliness...

Growing!

We measure the kids around their birthdays on our growth wall.  We specifically put it on a piece of wood that could be moved from house to house and I am so glad that we did!
Since their birthdays last year, Eden grew 3 1/2 inches and Ryder grew just over 3 inches...
These babies of mine are completely blowing my mind with how they are growing!

April babies...

Yesterday, we celebrated our families April birthdays for Ryder and Ruby!
The pool is always such a treat!
 The food was INCREDIBLE!
They made it and we gobbled it up!
They are each other's favorites... Eden thinks her Aunt Colie is the BEST!
Cake!
We love these babies of ours and we can't imagine life without them!❤︎
