2026 Playoffs

We’ve had a packed several days competing in Eden’s playoff schedule… I’m so proud of these girls! Here are a few snapshots:

Clean sheets always feel so good:

Cold drinks are required after you play in 90+ degree weather:
Eden got her first ever red card in our third game. She had a block coming outside the box and was also the last defender using her hand. It really was a beautiful block, but she was pulled. They still made it out of their group. She is a tough cookie, but she had to sit out the next game.
They got the win to head to the semi finals!
Ultimately they won to move on to Nationals in Seattle.
We are so proud of these girls!

Birthday Celebrations for Kit Rae

Yesterday we got to celebrate Kit’s birthday with the tradition of birthday doughnuts, gifts for upcoming trips, birthday affirmations, and a special dinner with our friend Chris who was in town from South Africa.

It was a sweet time celebrating our favorite guy!

Today we celebrate our Kit Rae turning 46!

It will be low key but excited to do traditions in celebration of him!

Summer…

Looking through my photos made me feel like summer… Man, I’m so grateful for these simple moments!

a little art project

I found a doodle/art project that utilized my family’s hand prints and I had to try it.

They were so fun to do!

Even when the kids are off…

…there is still a work schedule to keep. Happy Summer to all the working parents making it happen!

finally finishing a project…

A few years ago when we were in London, I found three landscape paintings that I knew would be perfect in our home. I had framed 2 of them but I couldn’t find a reasonable frame for our largest one. I finally decided to use an old frame from a magnet message board and bought glass and a matte to make my own.

It was a total of $11 and it just makes me so happy!

Summer

We had our first trip to our community pool.

Then Ryder drove us to get ice cream and it was the first time Eden rode in the front seat with him.

At the end of the day, the kids both said, “Today really felt like summer…”
