looking for castles...

On Saturday, Ryder's baseball game was cancelled because of the weather, so we decided to head to the beach to find a pirate's tower that we had heard we needed to see! So we headed to Victoria Beach in Laguna, loaded down with beach chairs, a picnic lunch, our umbrella, and changes of clothes and towels.  We were ready for anything!
The kids always have the best time at the beach, and they are really comfortable with the waves and being in water, which makes it even more fun for them!
We brought a shovel and some dixie cups.  It made for the happiest little castle/sand fort builders.
Exploring the beach, and tide pools!
They were making up all these games and stories about where they were going and what they were going to see... it's really sweet to watch their relationship grow deeper each day!
A man man pool:
The kids had all these stories how they were so brave because they were certain that there were alligators in it...
Then we found the castle.
Eden was beside herself!
It really felt magical. You almost forgot where you were!
It was built for a man in the early 1900s to sit and paint in.  It was later purchased by a naval captain who loved pirate lore, so that is why some people refer to it as Pirate's tower.
After we got back to our beach spot, we saw dolphins and whales and watched our kiddos run in and out of the water and dig holes for their little castle.
We had such a lovely day together... Full of sweet magical moments that filled all of our cups.
Time being together is just something that I just can't get enough of... Man do I love this little family of mine!❤︎
