Weekend recap...

We got back from our camping trip yesterday and we really had a great time! It was fun to be away, with good friends and watch Ryder experience something so fun and something that his dad grew up doing. (I will say that Kit grew up backpacking and so we will be easing our way into that with car camping trips. This is a great stepping stone for that.) It was a really great time!

Getting ready to go:
(Good grief did we have lots of stuff!)
Ryder was in his RV t-shirt and rainbows,
ready for a good time.
Setting up camp:
Hanging out at the beach:
The weather was beautiful!
(We also really got to test the capacity of Pamper's cruisers...)
Hank and Ryder were born 10 days apart. It is so fun to watch them experience new things together...
Walking in the tide pools:
Our second day, we showed up to the beach much more prepared, with swim trunks, changes of clothes and diapers and lots of towels and blankets...
Eating meals around the campfire is the best and we made our traditional camping meal: Breakfast burritos.
Ryder just loved being with Kit. They have such a special connection. I love watching them together!
Each morning, Ryder would peak out of the camper's curtains to see what was going on outside. That would buy us about 3.2 seconds more of sleep... Hey, we will take what we can get...
The hardest part of the trip was that one of the days and nights we had such hard winds! It made cooking, eating, and sleeping all so much harder! Otherwise the trip was really pretty easy to manage with a little person.

The Group:
Our very tired family:
We look forward to many more adventures with our family and friends♥!

What was going on in the world while we were away:
There was a royal wedding!
That is kind of fun history in the making, huh?
I'm a sucker for weddings...
We also came home to the announcement that Bin Laden had been killed...
Somewhat surreal, huh?
