Hospice...

Last week, my Grandma Marie had been taken to the hospital for a reaction to an antibiotic, and ended up being discharged on Sunday on hospice.  We had anticipated the transfer to her home on Saturday, but there wasn't a hospice nurse available to meet us.  Instead we were in the hospital, taking turns being with her, then heading over to her house to help my Uncle get the hospital bed set up and everything ready for the next day.  In her room was this little questionnaire:
It summed her up so well: She loves her family, she loves learning and getting her Masters in Gerontology at 70, she loved being outside, especially walking, and she had the most grateful, thankful heart of anyone I knew, which she said came from Jesus in her life.
There was so much to process in all of it...
