A Rae Family Christmas

Happy Christmas Eve!
This year, I was scheduled to work on Christmas day, so we planned our Christmas celebrations and traditions early on December 23.
The kids called Santa to let him know that we would need him to come early.  We have his number and the kids always leave him messages when We won't be in town or when I have to work and we celebrate on a different day...
Before he comes, we set out things for he and his reindeer. We went with brussel sprouts this year...
In the morning, we had such a fun surprise:
Before we do any gifts or Santa and stockings, we sing happy birthday to Jesus and read the Christmas story in Luke 2.
Then we opened presents starting with the stockings, which come from Santa:
The favorite gifts this year were a remote control car and nerf guns and history books for Ryder, and for Eden it was her very own sewing machine:
You guys, she is in heaven and creating all the things...
We have grown accustomed to going with the flow of moving the day and it's festivities, depending on our work schedules.  We have realized as long as we are together, it doesn't matter where we are or what day it is...
These traditions and moment will always be remembered and engraved on my heart for years to come...

Tonight we are having our candlelight service.
It is always a such a magical evening for our family!
