Oxnard 2018

We are back from our family vacation to Oxnard.  We have done it for 8 years with our kiddos.  Our kiddos will tell you that this is one of their favorite things about summer vacation.
All our stuff for time at the beach and some day trip adventures:
We stayed in a new house this year.  The one that we have rented the last 7 years was sold, but this was such a nice surprise:
It was close to the beach and our favorite part was the open floor plan:
Things that filled our vacation days:
We spent time at the beach every day:
We went to the Channel Islands Farmer's market:
We spent a morning Paddle Boarding and Kayaking:
We rode our bikes:
We spent a afternoon in LA:
Dinner at the Bun Shop:
 It was so good!
Yep, it was a Triple D recommendation:
We watched a Dodger game where the Dodgers beat the Cubs 2-1.
and then we closed out our night with California Donuts:
That is a "samoa" girl scout cookie doughnut...
It was so YUM!
We spent a day in Santa Barbara:
Ice cream at Rori's artisanal Creamery:
We walked the Douglas Family Preserve:
The views were incredible:
We walked the Santa Barbara Farmer's Market and bought amazing peaches:
Then ate tacos at Los Agaves:
Then ended at Three Windows Brewery at the Funk Zone for card games and corn hole:
We met up with our brother Ethan and Dani for Pizza at Toppers:
And we had our last breakfast at the Annex in Oxnard:
Dutch pancakes for the WIN!
There were evenings of playing games and cooking together, and reading our books while "Planet Earth" played in the background.
Funny stories were shared, hard things were discussed, lots of laughter was had, and I walked away LOVING this family of ours even more...
We are already planning next year and we can't wait to make more and more memories together!
