March 19 will mark our 4 year anniversary of being in our home. We look back and laugh at some projects that we are just now getting to. For example, when we did the final walk through on our house, this was our master:
And this was our bathroom:
There were so many things that we needed to tackle, but some of the tiniest projects were put on hold. For example, this last week we finally got to finishing up the metal window sills. They have looked like this:
There were remnants of red, black, and purple paint, all of which I was so happy to see go...
I scrubbed the sills, and we used dap on the holes from previous blinds. Then did a light sand to finish off the prep.
It's funny how easy this project was, and how much CLEANER it feels now! I wonder what took us so long to get it done?
We also decided to fix the and replace the faucets. One side really hasn't drained correctly since we moved in.
We picked very basic but sturdy faucets. Nothing like hitting a sale at Lowes!❤︎
(Also, the old ones look filthy even though they were cleaned and wiped down daily. Even with vinegar and CRL, I could never get them looking clean enough.)
My plumber/contractor is the absolute BEST!
Kit fixed all the plumbing under our sinks:
Before:
He made it look so great!
We also decided to paint the kids bathroom too.
Again, when we moved in, the kids bathroom looked like this:
It's so funny what a tiny bit of white paint can do:
I found the sign at Hobby Lobby for $10 on sale.❤︎
My favorite thing is that you can see it from the bottom of the stairs...❤︎
Working on house projects make our hearts happy.
We love this little house of ours!❤︎
