Girl Time/Guy Time

This last weekend, Kit had planned to go up to the cabin for a father/Son camping trip with our friends the Thrashes.  However, with Ryder being sick last week and missing school, we had to alter the plans to keep things local so that he could get good sleep.
So they decided to go to Balboa for riding bikes and lunch on the Pier:
And then our friend Mark got INCREDIBLE tickets to the USC game vs. Oregon.
These two are 10 days apart and have been little besties since the beginning...
It was the first college game for both of these kiddos and they LOVEd it!
(We didn't even come CLOSE to paying that ticket price... Way to go Mark!)
Then they came back and slept at our house and on Sunday morning, they woke up early to go do a little bit of shooting...
So while these guys were having all this fun, Eden and I got to capitalize on some girl time... Just the two of us!
In our theater, there was a large group of adults with Down Syndrome and it pretty much made the already fun movie EVEN BETTER!  We were all moving to the music and cheering... I'm telling you, it was the BEST EVER!
Eden said, "Gosh, every one is having the best time mom! I really like this!"
Then we grabbed lunch before we headed to Joann's for a crafting project.  They were doing a whole activity table for TROLLS!
Eden loved it!  They even gave her extra supplies to work on it at home...
Then after nap, we headed for burgers and a trip to Hobby Lobby and icecream, because, that's how we roll...
We got these head bands for about a dollar with a coupon and she has not wanted to take it off...
Thrifty's cotton candy ice cream for the WIN!
The next morning we snuggled in our bed while she crafted...
Then headed for our favorite doughnut:
Because any doughnut with bacon on it is a favorite of ours...
Then we played at the park while the boys played baseball...
I can not tell you how much this weekend filled our hearts with love and joy...
These are the moments that I absolutely can not get enough of!
We are already planning future trips and giddy with anticipation for them!
