Labor Day Weekend 2017

We had a fun filled weekend with our family and friends and to be honest, it was hard to get going again this morning!
We kicked off the weekend with a BBQ and swim time with our life group.  We had taken the summer off with traveling and vacations and we are excited to start back up again!
(Their  swan was a HUGE hit!)
Over ice cream, we heard about school starting and how summer had gone and then it quickly went into telling jokes.  Oh heaven help us all...❤︎
On Saturday, Kit went for a bike ride with our friend and then came home to make pancakes and watch college football with Ryder.  He also had fun watching the Broncos vs. the Packers in a preseason game.  Oh my goodness, they were so excited for the season to start... especially Ryder!❤︎
They had gone to the park to throw the football around,  but with the heat approaching 100 degrees, they came home.  That didn't stop Ryder:

 Oh he is the best!
We spent time in our pool.  It has been so hot and It was such a welcome reprieve:
The pool is ALWAYS more fun with Kit:

We decided to head to our favorite Mexican market and get our favorite marinated chicken to make tacos:
On Sunday we had an Italian family get together.  It was SO nice to not have school the next day:
As always,  the food was amazing, but the conversation and connection time was even better...❤︎
The kiddos SLEPT IN Yesterday.  I was so happy for them!  Ryder didn't wake up until almost 8 and Eden slept in until almost 845!
Kit went for a bike ride with our close buddies and I was able to get a run in.
Kit is speaking this next weekend, so while he headed to work on his talk, the kids and I had a movie matinĂ©e of "The Fantastic Mr. Fox".  (We have been listening to it in the car this summer with all of our trips and it made for a very cozy afternoon!)
It was such s sweet weekend... I am so thankful for my family and anytime that we are able to be together.  Family time will always be my favorite time!
