Time with Our Grandi and Monkey Papa!

This last weekend, our Grandi and Monkey Papa came to spend the weekend.  It is always SO fun to have them with us!

 We went to a fun dinner at special place:

 Grandi brought a pillow craft to make with the kids:

 They loved it!

 We made a special dinner to eat after a soccer game to also celebrate the engagement of our Ethan and Dani:

 Also the day ended with Ethan asking Kit to perform their wedding ceremony!!!!

It was the perfect end to the weekend!

In other words, Eden got a leotard for her gymnastics class...

On Labor Day while I was at work, the kids had the best time with their dad.  It pretty much centered  around eating really good food together.

I really love the time that my family gets to be together, and even if I'm not there, watching them will still fill my heart with just as much joy.❤︎

Making her dreams come true...

Eden has been asking for awhile if she could start gymnastics.  It's completely new to me and I wanted to do my best research on gyms before we signed her up.  We finally landed on a spot and she started last week.  She. Was. ELATED!

 This Kid sat and watched his sister.  He was my buddy,  It is very rare he is on the sidelines of anything, but he was so happy for her!

Now we are off to buy a leotard!

As the school year has begun, I have been getting back into my routines.  It has been so life giving for me to have routines and expectations for the time that the kiddos are in school...

Then probably a favorite is sitting in my chair in our room, taking time to be with the Lord, praying, and spending time in the Bible:

I don't want to forget how sweet this time of life is.  These photos remind me to stop and slow down and take it all in.  These moments will be over.  The kids will someday be moved out, they will be more and more independent and begin living their own lives.  These hours allow me to stop and recharge and get ready for the time that we have in the afternoons and evenings.

a low key weekend...

Kit taught on Sunday and I was scheduled to work on Monday, so we laid pretty low this weekend.  Things like going to our pool and making dinner together, and watching movies or baseball are a gift.

Family time will always be the best time, no matter what we do...
