a special family wedding...

This last weekend, Kit got to officiate the wedding of my cousin Scott to his bride Shara... We love her so much and have had the best time getting to know her over the last 5 years!  On Thursday we headed up to Camarillo for the rehearsal and dinner:

 The dinner was at Shara's family ranch:

 Eden got to have soda...

 She felt very old...

The next day was the wedding and it was beautiful:

Watching Scott's face as she walked down was so precious...

...and she looked beautiful!

My cousin and I wrangled our kiddos and doing it together made it so much nicer...

They were married as the sun was going down and it was so breathtakingly beautiful...

 Eden was TOTALLY into everything about the wedding.

(When the DJ announced it was time for the father-daughter dance, Eden looked at Kit and screamed, "It's time for our dance!!!"  They danced off to the side... Then she asked if he would walk her down the isle when she got married... Kit melted!

There was dancing and good food and a photo booth and a candy table... Each detail was so special and we loved that we got to be there to celebrate with them!

simple sweetness...

Earlier this week, Eden had a bout of croup and it was so sad... She handled it like a champ.  When she gets the wheezing, she wants to be upright and snuggled:

 Her thumb and her blanket make the snuggling even more cozy...❤︎

Later that day, as we wound down for bed, Ryder wanted to read to us:

Sometimes you just need your big brother to read to you, snuggle with you, and tell you that he loves you... I think that my heart was about to burst!❤︎ 

Box tops and raffles!

We collect "box tops".  For each clipping, you get 10 cents for your school.  This last week they put the name of the child on the box tops that they had collected and had a raffle and Ryder won! He was SO excited to hear his name called.  To make things even better, he won a bag FULL of Trader Joes goodies!

He even got his name in our weekly school newsletter...

We absolutely love our school and love any way that we can support them!  And a bag full of Trader Joe's treats?  Just icing on the cake...❤︎

A new Favorite for Eden...

Eden is a HUGE fan of the new Disney princess Elena of Avalor.

a little date...

We were able last Friday afternoon to go on a little day date!  Both kids were in school.  Kit was off.  I was off.  Everyone was healthy.  And everyone was home from traveling!

We had a new food spot to try:

Taqueria El Zamorano in Santa Ana.

While we waited for our, I had their agua de pepino (cucumber limeade) and it was SO good!

(Kit also proceeded to make me laugh until my sides hurt!  I never want to forget the sound of his laugh... It's SO good for my soul...)

It was pretty crowded so we took it home:

We sat and talked and laughed and enjoyed the time together!

 We napped before we went to get the kids and as we both went to get them, our hearts were so thankful for the connection time...  How good it is to be married to your best friend...❤︎

Opening Day 2017!

This last Saturday was our opening day for our baseball season!  

 Eden had her school "dog"  Ruby at the opening day festivities:

We also had out first game.  It is our first season with machine pitch and Ryder was a little nervous, but he made great connection and I could tell by the end of the game he was feeling more and more confident.  

At this point we don't keep score, but if you asked any of our little guys, they would tell you we won 1-0.

 Home Depot donated our game buckets and we were so thankful!

It was a GREAT opening day.
We love our coach, we love the players and we LOVE the parents.❤︎

We are excited about the season!
