We’re back! We loved our time so much!
Our kids took their traditional picture and my goodness, they are growing up fast!
2016 and 2024
We have a tradition that as soon as we are unpacked, we go see the pond, check for frogs and water levels and then do a walk to our meadow to look for deer and see if there are flowers we will want to press. This time we saw 2 deer and 1 coyote.
One day, we took a hike to Mystery Lake to explore.
At over 9,000 ft. elevation, much of the trail was in snow but we were able to get through. It made for a beautiful landscape.
The views and the lake were magical.
We had a lake day!
We spent a day off-roading, doing target practice with our .22s in the woods, exploring new places and creeks and taking lots of pictures. We ended the day with corn hole and a movie night!

We got to celebrate my birthday! We started the day with Shaver’s chunky bread and a game of Qwirkle.
We went for a horseback ride!
We headed to Dinky Creek to swim and fish… Such a fun afternoon!
We ate Hungry Hut burgers and my sweet family gave me birthday affirmations. We ended the evening with a movie night.
There is something really magical when the 4 of us are together. The conversations, the laughing, teasing, and inside jokes, the snuggles that our kids still want to share with us, the time they still want to spend with us… My heart comes away from weeks like these so full…
