This last weekend, Kit and I were able to attend our church's marriage retreat. Kit was in charge of the event and the Packiams spoke and it was so good! It was held at the Newport City Civic center.

We stayed at the Vea hotel around the corner from the civic center:
The sessions were amazing. The tools inspired deep communication and connection...
The two days were such a gift...
The last day were were given free time and we wandered around the gardens and looked at the artwork:
We ate tacos:
And finished the night with local Italian food:
We talked and connected and had such a wonderful time... I think any opportunity that you have to see when everything is stripped away and you are left with your spouse, and realize that that is more than you could ever want or need, it's a really good thing...
