A family day at Disneyland!

This last friday, we decided to carve out a day to be together as a family.  With life being crazy for Kit before he left for India, than being gone, then coming back to the states, having to hit the ground running and then dealing with a time change, we just have all felt a little off since we had not been about to spend some quality time together. (Quality time happens to rank in the top love languages for our kids.)  So after we picked Ryder up from preschool, we headed to Disneyland.  The kids were THRILLED!
They could not get enough of their dad:
The way they look at each other makes my heart melt:
Since Eden turned three, we needed to get her a pass and she was SO cute with feeling like such a big girl!
Main Street:
We always start at the Astro Blasters:
Then we headed to the Innovation center where the kids got to digitally be Iron Man:
They could not have ben  cuter!
We headed to the castle and took a tour of Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
Then we headed to Pirates of the Caribbean and Tarzan's tree house:
Then it was time for California Adventure.  We headed to Cars Land to walk through and then we headed to The Little Mermaid (Which broke right before we got on and our kids were so sweet about not getting to go on.  Next time...)
We saw the Pixar parade and lots of characters around:
My kids were really mixed.  They didn't want to be too close tot he characters but were dancing and participating with everything.  I guess they figure a safe distance never hurt anyone...♥
We might have gotten frozen fruit bars and frozen lemonade too:
Guess who loved the feature on the map?
Yep, she didn't want to put it down...
Then we headed to Monster Inc and rode it twice:
Then went and saw the Aladdin show:
It was the first time for the kids and I.
We really liked it!
We were at Disneyland from about 1215-8pm.
We had so much fun and loved being together and all the conversations that happened and the fun memories that were shared.
It was a good day.

We ended it by eating at our favorite burger place next to our old house and then drove through the old neighborhood.  It's so funny.  Our close neighbors have since moved and we realized how much change can happen in a relatively short period.  I didn't feel like I missed it at all, but it made Kit and nostalgic for the memories that we made there.  Does that make sense?  This week marks one year since our move and we are so grateful for what the move has brought us.
But we sure do miss our Jacaranda peeps...♥
