yay for the horses and pigeons! (AKA the most low key Super Bowl ever!)

This weekend, Kit had to work all five services at our church (Saturday night, sunday morning and sunday evening, which didn't exactly put us with the best party time schedule.
So we just laid low.  Ryder was cheering for the "horses" (broncos) and the "pigeons" (sea hawks).  Each time a touchdown happened, we would hear, "Mom, Dad! The pigeons got another point!"
(The only thing that I can think of that made him think the mascot was a pigeon is that we are huge Mo Willems fans and we love his books about Pigeon.  Who knows.)  It made for very interesting game commentating, though.
Seriously, this is all we did:
I made a huge pot of chili with left over smoked brisket that Kit had made.
It smelled so good!
Trader Joes helped me keep it classy with my snacks...
Eden thoroughly enjoyed the food.  There was chili and queso all over her.  A girl after my own heart!
 It ended with bath time...
As sad as we were not to be partying it up with our friends, it ended up being a great Super Bowl sunday for our family!
