May Books

Here were some books I read this month:

I absolutely loved this read. Mel Robbin’s reads it and I loved how personal it felt hearing her voice. The Let Them Theory is a tool for interpersonal relationships in multiple capacities that allows the navigation of setting boundaries while creating space for people to be who they are. It follows with the statement “Let me” in how we respond and the power we allow others to have in our lives. It was inspiring and encouraging and has the potential to give to so much freedom to release things we have no control over anyway. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have had amazing conversations about it with people close to me. I strongly recommend it!
This book was a reread for me and I loved even more than the first time I read it. To put it very simply, my take away is it’s a gentle reminder to calibrate your life on what’s important and on stewarding the things God has given you well that bring life rather than things like frantic chaos. I loved it and would highly recommend.

Her first time as a slammer…

This last weekend, Eden got invited to play with her new team in a Memorial Day tournament.

At the very end of the second game, Eden got a concussion on a block and was taken out for the rest of the games. The team was SO kind in checking in on her and wanting her to be ok. Being new to a group can be scary and these girls were just so sweet! The team took home the Championship! It was such an exciting way to kick off this to r with new families and teammates.

Time with people we love…

This last weekend we got to spend time with people we love, first on Saturday morning with all of our elder wives:

then on Sunday with the Thrashes and Jones:

and then on Monday in Redlands for birria:

The family also got to ride Colie’s vintage Honda!

It was sweet to be with people that mean so much to us!

our last gym date…

Every Friday for the last few months, I have joined Kit at a gym in Costa Mesa that was started by a friend of ours at our church. Kit has gone for a while and loves it! They will now be taking their workout program to Orange Theory. Last Friday was our last one before they merge and close their doors…

Our precious friend from church who is hands down the best personal trainer there ever ever was! We love our Veronica!

I will miss these Friday mornings with my guy!

Just Dandy…

Eden loves the sweatshirt company, Dandy. Dandy had announced awhile ago that they would do a pop up in Huntington Beach this past weekend. Eden had been counting down hoping to go and finally with meds on board and feeling a little better, she and her dad made a date of it.

So many people!

She even got to meet Dandy’s CEO:

Her favorite part of the afternoon was time with her favorite guy…

The sweatshirt she picked…
