When we moved into our house, Ryder's room looked like this:
After our furniture was put in and the walls were painted and the carpet was replaced, it looked so much better, but we had yet to tackle that window. I thought that I wanted curtains but couldn't find ones I liked, so Kit helped me with a project that we had done on Ryder's windows in our Fullerton house. Kit bought a $10 piece of poplar,
Cut it to size and nailed it to the top of the window, covering the blind attachment.
Then we filled in the nail holes and we painted it.
