Our House...

We recently had to have our house painted.  In 12 years of owning a home, we have never really picked the color of our house, and though we weren't excited to have to do it, we loved getting to choose the colors and to fix what the previous owners had done to the exterior stucco and wood.

We went with Dunn Edwards:

There is a house in our neighbor hood with these same colors and we LOVED how it had turned out!

We prepped some projects prior to the painters coming...
We repainted the mailbox with spray paint that would match the door perfectly...

We took down one of the rain gutters and added another light to the front of the house:

Kit readjusted the rain gutters in the back and we took down old hardware that had been up for outdoor blinds:

Because of the timing of when painters were coming and when we were leaving for Oxnard, we had to do most of the prep on a 100+ degree weather day...  Yuck!

But everyones hard work made such a difference to the finished product...

We are thinking of putting black shutters on the back second story windows... Maybe?

The painters were amazing!  I am so thankful that we were able to have them come.  Between trying to fit in painting a two story house, family vacations, both of our work schedules, and most importantly wanting to be with the kids before school started... We are so glad that it worked out!  This house has been an incredible blessing from the day we moved in and we are so thankful for it's walls and that we can call this house our home...❤︎
