9 years ago...

 Today we celebrate that our Eden Marie was born... I can't believe this was almost a decade ago!

I know it is cliche, but my goodness, how fast time goes!

I can't imagine life without our girl.  Her name means delight and it couldn't be more fitting...

We absolutely adore this girl.  She is gentle and fierce and nurturing and strong and one of the funniest people we know,  She is creative and caring and is highly relational.  She loves well, is assertive and will change the world.  She has already changed ours...

We have a new member of the family!

 Meet Jelly Belly Rae. She's a little shy...  We saw her in a litter of 5 and we knew she was the one...  She was born on January 6, 2021 and its parents are a dwarf lion head and dwarf rex breed of rabbit.

We are elated to have a buddy for Baby Girl...

She's such a little buddy...

Baby girl is acclimating ok.  There is a whole routine you have to do to make sure that they don't hurt one another, and please don't look at the playroom carpet... I just can't stay on top of it right now... 

But can you tell who wants to be the Alpha in the relationship...?

We hope that they will be little buddies!

 I have gotten back to running after dealing with shin splints in October.  I am not gong to lie, my body feels really out of shape, but man do the sunsets make it all worth it!

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail, His mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness..."

I want to remember this...

 We have these moments right now where we just go for walks. It could be in our neighborhood or where we drive and the kids ride their bikes, or to a trail where we hike a little bit...  No matter what, the kids are always excited about it and we always have such sweet conversations!

I want to remember how easy it was to be together... How doing absolutely nothing actually was the best things that we did...

Big things happened this week!

You might remember where I told you about some plans we had for our back yard...

Well, this week our trees went from this:

(I know it's not pretty or even close to being finished, but that darn shed covered a literal rats nest, which meant that we had to kill three rats and scoop out their home... pulling this sucker down felt like the biggest accomplishment!)

We are incredibly excited about our projects!  It feels exciting to have things starting and to have everything ready for our new fence to be put in!

The first time in 11 months...

 For the first time in 11 months, we ate at a friends restaurant.  We ate outside.  We wore masks walking in and we ate where no one was near us.  It was the first time that I ate food somewhere other than in a takeout setting to bring home.  It was absolutely heavenly... Also, the food was amazing!

It felt normal and I missed it.  We will be back!  

It feels good to be out here again...

 Over the weekend, Ryder's little league opened up for baseball clinics.  To be on the fields with friends and people that we love was so special!

I remember thinking when he first started that it would be YEARS before he would be playing majors on the Majors field... Well, here we are... 

Ryder loved answering questions about rules and plays...

Being back o the field with a bestie was the absolute best!

Also, having your dad be asked to help coach at the clinics was pretty special too...

It felt so good to be out there... It has been since last March and I ca tell that our kiddo missed it SO much!

The other night the sunset was just so sweet as it set on our boys...
