Tustin Cross-Country City Finals 2023

Last Wednesday, Ryder had his city finals at Irvine Regional Park.

My favorite part of his race was when he gathered his team to cheer each other on and pump each other up before they ran.  He is the best!
He came in 5th in has age bracket and we are SO proud of him!
Also, Eden was the cutest time keeper you have ever seen UNTIL people started to cross the finish line and throw up where she was sitting and then she needed to step away for a bit...
We are SO proud of our kids and the human beings that they are becoming!

Cross Country 2023

Ryder had has first cross country meet of the season this last Tuesday.  He came in second and did an amazing and got 12:49 for 2 miles.  We are so proud of this kid!  Also the cutest time keepers you have ever seen!

He and his buddy paced with each other and encouraged each other the entire time... So sweet!
Also running with friends that you have known since you were about 6 is pretty fun...

Cross Country Finals for 2022

Yesterday, Ryder had his first Cross country Finals at Yorba Regional Park.

He came in 9th in his age group of over 80 7th grade boys.  Before they ran, at the starting line, he gathered his team up and had them do a cheer for the Falcons.  If you know Ryder, you will not be surprised that he had to start a race that way and that his teammates followed his lead.
I am so so proud of who this kid is and who he is becoming!  it is such an honor to be his parents!

run, run, run...

Last Thursday, Ryder had his second cross country meet.  He shaved 20 seconds off of his time at 1402 for 2 miles. He got 6th place for his age group and was so excited to have his new personal record.

This kid is such a stud!

First Cross Country meet for Ryder Rae

On October 6, Ryder had his first cross country meet.  Three middle schools competed.  For the 7th graders, he came in 5th over all and 2nd for his school.  We were so proud of this kid for trying something new and for giving it his very best.  He also loves doing it with best buddies...

He's already looking forward to trying to beat his time in his next meet.  We are so proud of our kid.  Way to go Ryder! Go Falcons!
