Our Jack Cleary was diagnosed at the beginning of October with leukemia. In response to his high doses of chemotherapy to fight the aggressive form of leukemia he had, he was fighting a systemic fungal infection.
Yesterday, Jack went home to be with Jesus.
He is now whole, he isn't suffering, and he is at peace with our Savior. We claim God's goodness, love, faithfulness, and mercy. It was an honor to be his family for the 8 years that he was on this earth. Now he is in the arms of Jesus. He is home.

As we took turns saying our goodbyes in the hospital, the Biola guys went together and the mamas went together, in other words, the uncles and the aunties. We shared stories, we laughed, we prayed, we held his hands. It was the the most heartbreakingly beautiful moment I have witnessed. We love this family so much.

We processed the death of Jack with the kids over pizza, then came home and had a slumber party in our room and watched Dick Van Dyke.
Ryder and Eden are hurting. Navigating this loss with our kids has been devastatingly painful. They loved each other so much.
We had hoped to see healing on this side of heaven, but we know that we will see Jack Jack again, and if you ask Ryder, Ryder is convinced that Jack is busy showing Jesus his dance moves.
