A new family favorite

We recently have been experimenting with different meal ideas to get more veggies in and we landed on this which has become a family favorite:

I saute the riced cauliflower and  squash mixture in olive oil with the grilled chicken, then I put on lettuce and top with feta, balsamic glaze and sunflower seeds:
Ryder had early release last week for conferences and we ate it most days together.  It is fun to have something new that the family loves!

Gold All-Stars

This last Sunday, we got together with Eden's soccer team, ate some snacks, affirmed the girls, coaches, and team mom, and then had a friendly game of parents vs. kids.

What a sweet group of girls and families...
I will miss this team!

Kit's Saturday shenanigans

It was a very lay low weekend for the kids and I. A sick mom with no soccer equalled the ability to just be cozy inside.

Bunnies got in on it too...
Kit, on the other hand, got to attend an MMA fight in LA to celebrate our friend Huby's birthday.  They ate Mexican food:

They made it!

We love you Huby!

sick...

I have been spending lots of time here:

I've been trying to get over a chest cold for the last 1 1/2 weeks.  I was supposed to work this last Saturday, but ended up being at home.  I hate not feeling well, but I am so thankful that this is not a "norm" for us.  I completely take my health for granted and I am so thankful to be moving towards feeling better, even though it has taken much longer than I had anticipated...❤︎

Here's to a new week...

missing my guy

Kit has been in Orlando for the last few days and I am so excited that he is coming home today.  Last Friday, we were both not feeling good, but made an errand for comfort food our day date...

It was a fun time at a favorite local spot and I love doing things like that with my favorite guy!

sibling love

Things that I want to remember from this week with these two:

1. Ryder has been continuing to invite Eden to play Road Blocks with he and his friends.  She loves it.  She's really good and his friends think she is hilarious with how competitive she is.

2. Yesterday, Eden asked Ryder for help with her math homework with fractions.

He was so kind and patient.  He calls her sis, just like her dad does, and she respects him for how he is with her.  I am so thankful that I have a front row seat to watch their friendship grow and develop.  (I am also thankful that there is someone on the house that is good at 5th grade math when Kit is away...❤︎)

on the mend

Over the last week, our house has been hit with the chest colds, sore throats, and coughs that have been going around...

And finally I ended up with a visit to the urgent care for a cough that wouldn't get better...
I am hoping that having cough medicine and antibiotics on board that I will be feeling better soon.  I am so thankful for the amazing care that I have access to that takes such good care of me!
