Dreams for 2022

We have big plans for the Spring of 2022.  The plans that we had for March of 2020 may have been cancelled but the dream was just postponed. So we look ahead to with hopeful anticipation  for adventures to be had ad memories to be made...(And it all started with  renewing the kids passports...) We made an event out of it...

Celebrated with treats at Hidden house coffee...

We are so excited and crossing our fingers that we won't need to postpone again...❤︎

Bunny photo dump...

The bunnies have been so snuggly and we love it each and every time we get to have them with us when we hang out and watch a movie or things like that...

"Mom, take our picture!"
"Never mind, I'll get it..."
Jelly belly fell asleep...
...So did Eden...
The face they give when they know a treat is coming...
But the face I get when they hear they have to take a photo first...
Then it's time to snuggle in again...
We are THOSE bunny people and I'm not even ashamed of of it...❤︎

My little decorator...

Eden has been asking for a little update to her room.  The knobs on her vintage dresser have been spinning and making it hard to open the drawers.  She wanted to bedding that was plain white. She wanted the paintings that belonged to her great-grandma to hang in her room.  She had fu picking things out and making all the little decisions.

Here is the before:

We took down frames, and filled in holes and repainted.  We repainted the bed frame.  She wiuld help tell us where she wanted things to go...
Her finished product:
I love every detail...
They are finally up in a spot where they can be enjoyed!
This room feels like it's her but it also feels so grown up!
I'm proud of her making her space her own.

Grandpa Pierce is home...

On August 31, Our Grandpa Pierce went home to be with Jesus.  The legacy he has left is one of loving Jesus and loving others so well.  Of the people that have had a profound influence on Kit's life, this man is at the top of the list.  Kit is the person that he is today because of the ways that this man poured into his life.  Grandpa is at peace, no longer suffering, reunited with Grandpa, and at home with his Savior.  We will be homesick for him, but so grateful that we could call him ours for the time that we were together.  This is Joy  and hope mixed with the sadness.  How lucky we are to have had a man like this love us so intentionally and so well!

She is smitten...

Eden absolutely LOVES her teacher.  She is thriving and feeling cared for and known and I can tell she is learning by leaps and bounds...  The Lord has gone before us each year, putting us with the exact teacher that they needed.

This is the first year that Eden didn't have the same teacher that Ryder had, because his 4th grade teacher needed to move to 2nd.  We are so grateful and I know that, come what may, it is going to be an amazing year!

how it goes...

How the shift starts, having no idea what is waiting for me on the unit:

How the shift ends, when I can't handle one more second of looking things up or charting things on Epic:
I do really love my patients and co-workers, they keep me coming back...❤︎

tiny bathroom updates

When we moved into our house 7 years ago, the kids bathroom looked like this:

So right when we moved in, we changed it to this:

Now with having a middle schooler and needing to make some extra storage options, it looks like this:
The kids feel like it's more grown up and they have bins right next to the sink to put their stuff in.  All around, they are really excited about this new little updated space of theirs!
