Science!

We have been having fun using the extra time together to try new things.  We pulled out a science kit and had so much fun experimenting!

Last week our friends offered us their cabin in Green Valley Lake, up by Big Bear and Arrowhead.

 They were so excited to find fresh deer tracks.  Later we saw a deer off of the porch.

 After we finished our work and school, we went down to the creek for an adventure:

We headed home and ate pasta with an incredible sunset:

 Over these last several weeks, it has been confirmed for me over and over again that being together is my favorite place to be...

It was a fun little trip and we were so thankful for the time that we got to be together in such a beautiful place.

I dare you!

Pretty much every night at dinner, after we talk and catch up on how every one is doing, we play Uno Dare.

It's making dinner time even more fun together and I am so thankful that we have these moments of laughing together!

Kuiu for the WIN!

Ryder and Kit always go on a backpacking trip this time of year for Ryder's birthday. All things have been cancelled and things have been switched to planning for future trips...

Ryder got matching camping clothes for his birthday, just like his dad's.  They came late but oh my gosh, so worth the wait!

 These two can't wait to get out there on their next adventure!

Inviting Him in...

When the kids were in school, I would always be on drop off and I would pray for their day.  I would pray for their teachers, for wisdom and patience and for understanding for the kids when something was hard.  That they would know they are loved and supported and seen and that they would be surrounded by friends that encourage them and that my kids would put Jesus on display and always know His voice...

We had been doing this distance learning thing for a few weeks and realized that I hadn't;t been praying.  I was irritated and frustrated with technology.  I felt like I had no patience and was supposed to be excellent at something that was WAY out of my gifting...

So Eden and I prayed.  We invited Him into our learning time, realizing that we are doing our best and that there is grace...

GAME. CHANGER.

I mean, we have been laughing about if I'm her teacher next year, she would probably ask for a transfer... Those jokes just never get old...❤︎

new hobbies we all get to benefit from...

Kit has started making bread.  He was given a started from our friend Jamie and he has been loving it!

I can really get behind hobbies like this.  Like when he really got into BBQing and salsa making... Yah, these are hobbies I am in FULL support of...
