The Super Bloom 2019

Right after school on Friday, to celebrate that Spring Break was here, we took the kids to Walker Canyon in Lake Elsinore to see the poppies in their Super Bloom!

It feels like there is no way to tell you how spectacularly beautiful it is without experiencing it...
The kids loved it and we are DEFINITELY going to do the trail again!

Spring Break is almost here!

After today, we are off for a much anticipated week of Spring Break.
With Easter being so late this year, it's the first time that our school district isn't having the week of Easter Vacation actually coinciding with Easter.  For us, that means that there is a little more breathing room in our house since we aren't preparing for one of our biggest weekends of the year!
We are staying local and we are just fine with that...❤︎

Dog Man and Fancy Nancy go to school...

Yesterday was "Dress Like Your Favorite Book Character" Day.  Eden chose Fancy Nancy and Ryder chose Dog Man.
 They were SO excited!
It so FUN getting to be their mom!
Also, my Fancy Nancy keeps losing teeth:
Leaving her with the CUTEST smile ever!

Special Patches with Important Goals...

As the cookie selling time comes to a close, Eden worked towards getting the leaf patches:
She's worked on learning about money, making goals and deciding between things that are needs and wants.
It has lead to such sweet conversations about donating things, giving money to support local organizations and what it means to be responsible with money.
I love her so much and I'm so thankful for who she is and watching her grow and learn is such a gift to me!

favorite downtime activity...

Recently as I was organizing and cleaning out our house as part of a New Years goal I had. Among MANY other things, I was able to go through all of my craft stuff that I have collected over the years and I found one of my favorite craft "tools":
my envelope maker.
There is something so relaxing about it, and in the end, I have a stack of envelopes to give to family and friends.
It has become one of my favorite downtime activities...❤︎
