Animal care Center of Irvine

On Saturday, we spent lots of time at the Animal Care Center in Irvine with our Girl Scout Troop, learning about animals, how they are cared for and rehabilitated, and how they are then adopted out to families.

 The bunnies were a huge hit...

 Then we went into the cats and kittens section...

The girls loved giving treats to the dogs...

 Eden fell in love with this German Shepherd and did not want to leave it...

 So she left with this Rollie Pollie instead...

It was such great learning experience for my little animal lover and I loved how her heart is to care for any living thing around her...

and so it begins...

My Little Girl Scout...

Eden is still enjoying being part of her troop!  

I got to chaperone her last meeting.

 They are such a sweet group of girls.  We are excited for all that this year holds!

Crossing bridges and tiny brownies...

This last Sunday, Eden had her Bridging ceremony for Girl Scouts.  She went from a Daisy to a Brownie and had the best time with her troop!

 We loved getting to be there with her and her friends!

Special Patches with Important Goals...

As the cookie selling time comes to a close, Eden worked towards getting the leaf patches:

She's worked on learning about money, making goals and deciding between things that are needs and wants.

 It has lead to such sweet conversations about donating things, giving money to support local organizations and what it means to be responsible with money.

I love her so much and I'm so thankful for who she is and watching her grow and learn is such a gift to me!

This week marks the start of the Girl Scout cookie sales.

It was special to play a part this year in that way!

(Also, seeing all those caramel delights in one place was pretty magical, if I do say so myself...❤︎)

This January marks 1 year as a Girl Scout for our Eden Marie!

"Lil' Chef" Girl Scouts

Yesterday we met up with our Girl scout troop to celebrate their hard work with cookie sales!  We went to a cooking class and made home made pasta and the girls LOVED it!

They made pasta and sauce from scratch...

 These girls are the sweetest...

We are having the best time being a Daisy!
