Bis Nonna's Birthday!

This last Sunday, we celebrated my Grandma Marie's 92nd birthday.  The original Marie...
We came together as a family at one of her favorite parks in her neighborhood to celebrate her!
Here were a few little snapshots of the day:

I am amazed by this woman and the life that she lives and it is such an honor to call her our Bis Nonna!

All Stars...

Ryder was sweetly asked by our season coach to play on the All Star team for our league.  He was so excited!  I will say, the practice and game schedule was more intense but he LOVED it and Kit was the assistant coach again, so it made it even MORE fun for him!
Here were a few snap shots of Ryder's all star time:
I never want to forget how sweet and little he would look before he would line drive it...
We celebrated our first All Star game at Taco Mesa:
We had the privilege to play our close friends from the other Tustin league!
We love our Elkins...
Snap shots from our last game:
Our coach:
We can not say enough about this man.  How he encourages and instructs and develops fundamentals, combined with his calm demeanor and lightheartedness which wins over each kiddo...  He has coached Ryder for the last two seasons and with Kit being one of his assistants this year, he has become one of our dear friends.  He and Kit bike together and his son Jay has become one of Ryder's best little buddies too! We love you Coach!
For our last game, we had some very special guests come to support us! Thanks Thrashes!
After our last game, we headed to pizza,
(which was more about the arcade and quarters for bouncy balls...)
This team came together so well and I was so proud to watch them represent our Tustin East Little League!
(Also, their families are AMAZING!)
Ryder ended his Little League season 24-0 and had a blast the entire time.  He is already excited for next year...❤︎

On a different topic, I can't believe we are down to two weeks of school...  These last couple of months have FLOWN! I have given up on time slowing down, we are just resolved to buckle up and enjoy the ride the best we can...❤︎

A Birthday Backpacking Trip

For Ryder's 7th birthday in April, in lieu of a party, Ryder requested a backpacking trip, just with Kit.
We has been counting down and they were able to go over Memorial weekend...
Getting ready:
Here is a little video that Kit put together of their trip.
...and they had such a special time together!
And while they were away:
The girls played!

She wanted to sleep in Ryder's bed.
It was adorable!
The next morning she was SO excited!
Oh how I love this girl!
Our time was filled with our friends and family and some first time girl pampering... And of course tacos! Sponge curlers and masks were a huge hit and she is so excited to do it all again!

A grownup work space...

A few weekends ago, I scored at our neighborhood dumpster days.  I found these discarded...AKA FREE:
We decided to make a little work space for Ryder in his room, specifically for his Lego projects...
It took lots of elbow grease but I LOVEd how it came out!
I painted the chair black to match the furniture in Ryder's room:
The finished product:
He was THRILLED how it came out and he is excited to continue creating his Lego creations in  a designated spot!❤︎
