and so it begins...

I just can't get over how sweet this little miss is!

under the weather

One of our favorite things is snuggling up in my bed and watching old episodes of Dick Van Dyke.  When we aren't feeling great, it makes that time even sweeter.  This was last weekend while Kit was out of town:  Eden was under the weather, so here we were:

 And do you want to know the sweetest thing?  Ryder held my hand the entire time.  My heart might have wanted to burst!

Eden discovered filters, and so it is not uncommon to have the photo storage on my phone filled with gems like these:

 She also is a fan of making this a family affair...

This girl is hilarious and continually keeps me on my toes!

While dad was away...

...there were so many fun things that we had gong on!

On Friday, after I had my CPR class, it was family lunch the kids school!

 I watched this kid play basketball with his friends and it was so fun to see him in his element!

 This little girl is the friendliest person ever!  I love watching her with her friends!

On Saturday morning at 730a, we headed to the soccer fields for our first game of the day:

 They won 2-1 and Ryder had a goal.  Such fun game!

Then from there we headed to our ballfields for our capping ceremony:

 The kids love this coach and Kit is so excited to assist again.  The kids fell right into their routine of structure!

 We really love this man!

Then we grabbed a quick lunch and headed down to Newport for our last All Star game!

We lost but it was such a great game! 

 They really got so close in the relatively short time that they were together!

 We love our coaches!

 Then we headed for pizza, because that is just what you do!

 And it's all about the tickets and the games and the tiny toys that you get to take home!

This kid was so hyped up on sugar and adrenaline in this photo!

 And then the coaches affirmed each kiddo.  

It was such a sweet time!

I love what each of these seasons mean for our family.  I love the families that have become friends for all of us.  Eden loves the other little sisters in the group and they have the best time together!

What a blessing this time of life is for our whole family!

Kit has been gone...

... and there was SO much that we had going on while he was away!

Because of my work schedule I haven't seen my husband since Wednesday... He comes home tonight and I am over the moon excited to kiss his face.  The kids are so excited to see him too, but I definitely get first dibs.❤︎

Also, yesterday on January 26, Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash with others, including his daughter.

It was a really emotional day as their were so many reflecting on his life...

Monday morning was one of those mornings and it was so nice and we are lookin forward to going again...

Playing something new!

This year, Ryder tried out, and made his school's volleyball team.  They practice during lunch and they had their first game this last Tuesday! 

He made his serves, and had so much fun figuring out his passing and made a beautiful save.  It was so fun to watch him figure it out.

He has never played volleyball before and is having the best time trying something new!

Star of the Week!

This girl was Star of the Week last week, but her teacher was sick, so it carried into this week and she could not have been more excited about it! She is absolutely precious and I could not be more proud of this human being that I get to call my daughter....❤︎ 

trying new things...

Yesterday we met up with such dear friends for a roller skating date.  My kids have never roller skated or ice skated before.  They did an amazing job!

They had so much fun!  It was hard to try something difficult that you have never done before but both kiddos picked it up!   Eden has now asked for roller skates for her birthday and Ryder is excited for when we can meet up with our friends again!
