Last week we drove up on New Years Day to spend some time with our family in Santa Maria. It was a really great trip filled with connection and family time. We were very spoiled!
Here are some highlights:
Time at a new favorite park, Rice Ranch:
Going to see the monarch butterflies at Pismo beach:
The butterfly grove has a trail straight to the beach.
The weather was perfect!
Then we met up with some family friends at their beach house in Cayucos.
I'm not going to lie, I was nervous up on that Rock, having Ryder with me. I was SO thankful that Eric was there too...
And we ended the day by going to our brother and sister-in-law's house and meeting our new niece, Kailtyn Diane!
She is so precious and we love her so much!
And Eden got her first haircut!
Megan is the family haircut queen and she did Ryder's first haircut and so I had to keep the tradition!
We can all take a sigh of relief that the mullet is gone♥.
On friday night, Kit and I went to downtown San Luis Obispo to celebrate our 11 year wedding anniversary. The kids had the BEST time with their grandparents!
Then we headed to the Madonna Inn for dessert and cappuccinos. They had live music playing, swing music, and we watched people dance. We had cappuccinos every day while we were on our honeymoon in Italy so I can't think of a more appropriate anniversary drink...
It was a wonderful evening, full of lots of great connection time and conversations that were completely UNINTERRUPTED...
We are excited for what 2014 holds. Some big things are coming...
