On June 13, as a family, we marched with our brothers and sisters at Christ our Redeemer AME Church, with hearts that desire to listen and learn how we can advocate for those around us.  It was our first time and it won't be our last...

It was a day filled with beautiful moments, watching the Church come together in a power fun display of unity.  We were humbled and grateful...

We are currently with our family in Shaver Lake, enjoying time with our family from Texas and Kit's 40th.  We are so excited to be together!  Looking forward to unplugging and enjoying the time away.

It's so fun to watch them together and I can't wait for you to see what they did!

Shrinky Dinks and Sibling Moments

Last week, as we entered our first official week of summer, the kids and I decided that it was the perfect time to go through all of our games, craft stuff, and activity kits so that we knew what we had as options for activities.

We found a Shrinky Dink kit: 

 The kids legitimately were occupied for over an hour with this one.

 Then we found Outburst Jr and had SO much fun playing that one too!

I had gotten it at a garage sale for $1 when the kids were little and we are FINALLY able to enjoy it.

I am so grateful that they are having fun together and that they go what the flow as we have been trying to figure out  what these summer days will look like...❤︎

Birthday Weekend part 2

On my birthday, I got to sleep in before church!

I was woken up with coffee and doughnuts...

We went for walks, got Claro's Italian sandwiches for lunch, took naps, and got ready for an evening of being completely spoiled!

Kit ordered favorite Thai food and set up the back yard with the pop-up and twinkle lights and flowers:

Our servers were the best!!!

I was spoiled and loved and felt incredibly celebrated!  I am so excited for all that this new decade holds!

A Birthday Weekend part 1

On Saturday, we got together with our family to celebrate my nephew Xander's, Kit's and my birthday, and my nephew Max's 8th grade graduation.  We started the day with doughnuts and a hike:
