Today our baby girl is eight!

Today our bay girl turned 8!

I just can't believe how fast times goes!

We decided to celebrate this weekend with our sweet friends with a trip to Color-Me-Mine, In-N-Out, and Thrifty's Ice cream!

We started off with Martinelli toasts and birthday affirmations...

 And then ending with ice cream!

She felt celebrated and loved and I can't tell you what a gift it is to know that there are people in our life that love us so well!

It's really starting now...

Last weekend we had a baseball scrimmage in preparation for the start of the season.  Ryder had a beautiful double play at first and second and is doing an amazing job with catching.

HE used his uncle Ethan's catchers mit and it worked really well for him! 

 I love this team and their families and we are so excited for what is ahead!

Tonight are our opening ceremonies and it will be so fun to kick off the season!

Also, sometimes he will look at me while on the field, and all I can see is this from his coach pitch days when he was 6:

So last week, we signed our little artist up for art classes at Palette Station.  She could not be more excited for all the things that she will learn!

 We met up with our friend and had the sweetest class on sketching and shading...

 She had the hardest time stopping long enough for me to take a photo of her!

This Wednesday, we met up with our friends and practiced watercolor:

She can't wait to go and for all the things that she is going to learn!  This could not be more up my girl's alley!

Family days are the BEST days...

There was no school on Monday in honor of President's Day.  Also, Kit didn't have work!

We headed out to our favorite little hole in the wall...

Our Valentine's Dinner!

Each year we have the tradition of eating king crab legs or some form of seafood for Valentine's day.  We have done it for years and missed last year since we spent Valentine's Day at the Great Wolf Lodge.  Since I worked on Valentines Day, we did our feast on Saturday!
This year, Kit really outdid himself and we started the day with  very special breakfast of gourmet omelets:

For our dinner this year, the kids picked surf and turf.  
So we went with a menu of lobster tails, steak, artichokes, salad and biscuits.
So much preparation but it is SO worth it!

 

I love this tradition and memories that are made and I REALLY love this family of mine!
