Time together...

 

Fridays are the days that Kit and I carve out time together for dates.  We used to call them our date days but with our kiddos only being in school for 2 1/2 hours, it can be a little tricky to get the most of our time.  So last Friday was for wandering around Roger's Gardens and dreaming about our backyard and looking at tomato plants and enjoying the beautiful weather and surroundings...  

After that we grabbed lunch at Cava, then busted it back to school to get the kids...

I'm so thankful for these moments together that remind me to savor every second and how after all these years, he's still the guy I want to spend the rest of my life dating... 

Answered prayers...

From before our kids were born, we have prayed for sweet friends to come along side of them and love them and point them to Jesus and sharpen them to be the best human beings that they can be.  We have been so fortunate to have friends surround both of our kids with such love...

For Eden's birthday, her friend wrote her this card:

I cried when in read it, seeing that she has a best buddy who sees how God created her to be...

My prayer is that relationships like this will continue to grow and be nurtured as they are refined through life experiences... My heart is so full!

 On Sunday we visited with our family and they celebrated our Eden...

Auntie made a tasty dinner and cookie bars...

She felt so special and spoiled...

She and her cousin Ruby like to bake together over FaceTime, so they got her a little bake set and she was ECSTATIC!

 On Saturday, we got to connect with our best friends from college and see their parents, who we haven't seen in in years!  

The kids were able to connect and have so much fun with eachother:

Kit made ribs and they made all kind of southern sides and we ate like kings and finished off the meal with homemade blackberry pie!

Best friends really are the best!

Celebrating our favorite 9 year old!

 Eden chose a bunny theme for all of her birthday festivities this year.  We were still being cautious with Covid, but we decided that a safe plan would be to have 1 friend over to craft, eat In-N-Out, and watch "Peter Rabbit" on an outdoor screen. 

There was painting and slime making...

The bunnies were also invited to our evening...

Celebrating this munch was so fun!

The night was just what our girl needed and she loved every minute of it!
