Holiday hair

 I found one of these wave makers on Amazon during black Friday sales for about $15.

We had so much fun with it and we loved how it came out!  Eden called it her holiday hair, which seemed like the perfect name for it.

I think this might be my favorite thing...

 This season has SO many favorites for me, but I have to say that at the very top of the list is loading up the car with the family and hot cocoa and driving around looking at Christmas lights.  We have sweet conversations over the Christmas music that we are inevitably blaring...

                

We just love each part of it!

In all that is different with this season, we are holding tight to tradtions that bring our family joy!

Christmas is for crafting

 Well, to be honest, according to Eden, everyday is for crafting.  She used cut outs that Kit made for her from his Whooville scene to give her painting projects:

Big changes are coming...

 Ok, well in the world of BIG, I guess that is dramatic,  however on November 30, we had a consult for BOTH kids to get braces and that feels really big to this mama! 

She looked so little getting her pictures and x-rays taken:

We are so excited to start this journey.  They are going to be observed for the next several months to see when the best time to start phase 1 will be.  The kids are super excited to be part of the #Baumsquad!❤︎

Welcome to Whoville

 Over the last few years, we have created Seuss characters/pieces from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" for our front yard.  We added two new pieces this year... This weekend we put up the scene in our front yard.  Kit finished the signs:

Then had to reroute electrical and use a soldering gun to make sure that everything had proper lighting:

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas tree...

 On Friday we got to put up our tree and do all the sweet traditions that come with that part of our holiday decorating!

Then we head to In-N-Out.  This year, with the pandemic, we decided to take it home...

...but that didn't stop us from enjoying our hats!

Then it's decorating time.  Pulling out all of the ornaments and garlands that fill our hearts with such joy!

And of course, Baby Girl got in on the action...

Our tree at night is my absolute favorite!

We got a new nativity scene that I will show you later, but reading the Christmas story deserved it's own post this year...
