We are back!

We had such a sweet time at the beach with our family this last week!

We had so much fun just being at the amazing house:

 Complete with a rooftop jacuzzi...

We ate lots of food...

We played lots of games:
Zonk, chess, Yahtzee, spoons, Kubb, and even a a game of sardines throughout the 4 story house...

 

 

We are not quiet when we hide together... 

We spent lots of time at the beach:

 This beach is always so peaceful for us, always quiet, never crowded...

 

 I found the TINIEST sand dollar, then promptly broke it trying to save it...

We took walks, went on hikes, rode our bikes, and paddle boarded together...

 The houses remind you that you are somewhere special...

 We also had a special trip to Anacapa Island:
We've wanted to check it out for the last few years and it was fun to finally see it's beautiful views:

On the way home, Eden fell asleep on her Uncle Tommy, because hiking and having fun can tire you out!

The trip was such a special one and was SO needed in this season of this pandemic and uncertainty... I am so grateful for this family of mine and we couldn't be more thankful for our Mia and Papa who make it possible each year...❤︎

We are already dreaming about next years adventures and when we can be together again...

Heading Out on Vacation!

Today we are leaving for one of our favorite local beaches with our family, to be together for the week and enjoy time relaxing and just being together...

picking up new hobbies...

Last week, I started making candles and I had so much fun doing it. Over the years I have thrifted glass holders, milk glass, and even saved jars with the hopes that I could use them for future projects.

Since I haven't been thrifting since quarantine started, I have enjoyed this new project that utilizes that have to make something new... 

I used lemon oil to scent the candles and we love how they came out...

 I plan to get longer wicks for some of my taller jars and milk glass vases...

 I was very excited to light my first one to see how they would burn and I was so happy with the result...

I am really looking g forward to trying new things and other containers to see how it goes!

Our {kidless} week...

Last week was such a sweet one as we enjoyed out time together while the kiddos were spoiled by quarantine time with their Mia and Papa.
Our days were low key and with not being able to go anywhere, it set it up perfectly for just being home, taking evening walks in our neighborhood, distancing at our pool, ordering in our favorite take out, watching movies, talking and laughing and just loving our time together...

 We joined the rest of the world and watched Hamilton for the first time and it was so good!

We went on walks and found a fairy garden to show the kids:

 I tried a new recipe for apple crisp, that we loved:

And I started a new hobby:
(I can't wait to show you the finished product tomorrow...)

I got to work:

To finish the week off, we went on a paddle board date in Balboa:

 

 

 Then we finished off our date grabbing food a Taco Loco, a place that we is special to us, where we went when we were dating, while we were planning our wedding, and then on our honeymoon...
After all these years, I still adore sitting across the table from this man, and I am so thankful that he is my guy...
