Like her Colie...

Eden recently received three dresses that had belonged to her aunt Colie when her aunt was her age, which required a fashion show...

This pink one was her favorite:

It was so sweet to watch her be so excited to wear something that had belonged to her aunt Colie.

For their Easter egg hunt, Ryder received a slime making kit.

No time like quarantine to make some slime...

 The played with it for almost 45 minutes...

It was SUCH a win! 

A special family day

This last Saturday of Mother's Day weekend, we carved out intentional time to do things that made the day feel special.

We made french toast and bacon and played Uno Dare for breakfast:

Then we took a family bike ride through Irvine Regional park and felt like we had the entire place to ourselves!  No cars were allowed so yoiu had to either ride or hike...

 We rode almost 7 miles and came home and made an amazing yellow curry dinner that everyone loved... It was such a special day!

Mother's Day 2020

This was a very special Mother's Day, because unlike life before Covid-19, we were all able to stay home together in the morning.  Don't get me wrong, I miss our church... Kit always makes such an incredible effort to make sure that I feel celebrated, but with having to be at church early in the morning, and then at church for most of the day, we always end up missing time that we can be together.  This time was different in such a sweet way.  Ryder, Eden, and I got to film for our service.  I can't tell you how incredible that time was.  He wrote this prayer:

The filming experience was so FUN to do with my kiddos!

 That morning we just got to be together...
I slept in and they brought me coffee and doughnuts in bed:

She is ridiculously creative and I love every time she creates something!

Then we watched our church service:

 And watched ourselves wish everyone a happy Mother's Day:

Then in the afternoon we headed to Redlands to socially distance with our family out there!

And we just enjoyed being together:

I'm excited for when we can be together again...

These two have spent SO much time together and I am SO SO thankful that they have each other...

I have loved watching their friendship grow during this time in quarantine...

Who needs a salon?

One of Eden's favorite things is playing with hair, so I have enjoyed some pampering from the sweetest little munch.

 She looks at it and wants to take pictures of stuff she has done and it is so so sweet to see her excitement!

These moments with her are so precious to me.

Recently, Kit had to mail something at our UPS store.  He took Ryder because he could stay in the car.  Ryder had a mask on and rolled down the window.  He came home and said to me, "Mom! I got to be out and smell the PUBLIC, and it smelled SO GOOD!"
