{private} beach bliss

Last week, we were invited by our sweet friends from school to join them at a private beach in Corona Del Mar.  Their grandma lives where they have access to it and it was SO SO beautiful!
Treasure hunting for their sand creations:
Goggles make everything better...
There was lots of building sand creations:
Ryder found the largest sea slug I have every seen:
We made sure he was put in a safe spot in the tide pools
 Sweet friends since Kindergarten!
It was such a sweet day together!

Zoomars

We had our first trip to Zoomars petting zoo this week.  We went with our cousins. The kids had so much fun!
Feeding the guinea pigs was such a highlight!
We also had fun feeding the alpacas and Eden loved that she got to brush some of the animals:
We ended our time there in a corn kernel "sand box":
It was so fun to sit and talk and feel it in our toes...
Then on the way home we had lunch at Dos Chinos:
Chicken curry tacos for the WIN!
It was such a fun day together.  I feel summer coming to a close and I am holding on to these structure free days as long as I can! Family days will always be my favorite days.❤︎

playing catch

When we bought our house four years ago, I had visions of Ryder and Kit playing catch in the backyard like they had in Fullerton.  Fast forward 4 years and the little catch that they used to play when he was 4 has upgraded as Ryder has gotten more and more into baseball.
I love watching these two together... Such buddies!❤︎

cooking together

This last Sunday I attended my first cooking class at Tspoons in San Juan Capistrano with my sister and my cousin Melissa, two of my all time favorite people.
We had the BEST time together.  The food was amazing...
It was so good!
...but the company was even better!
I can't begin to put into words how special the night was.  I love these two so much and I am INCREDIBLY thankful to have them in my life.  Sisters of my heart....❤︎
