He’s legal!

On July 13, Ryder got his driver’s license.

When he drove away that first time, I vividly remember thinking “my life and our life as a family just significantly changed…”

I’m SO excited for him, but feeling all the feelings that come with watching your kids grow up…

A boy and his truck…

This month, Ryder will get his license. He is SO excited! When he’s not driving us around, playing soccer, or spending time with friends or family, he’s spending time with Huggs… Just a boy and his truck.

These two are learning so much and having the best time making the Huggs even better!

I can see quite a bit of time spent like this over the summer months…

taking a drive…

Whenever we take a little date around town, we take Huggs. He just makes it more fun. in this particular date, we went to our downtown and grabbed some dirty horchatas (horchata mixed with coffee) and then headed home for gardening.

These two have been having so much fun tinkering and puttering and learning all the things about this truck.

On Friday, Kit and I took the Huggs for our lunch date. It was my first time driving him. I think I’m as smitten as my guys are…

And so it begins…

The tinkering on the car has begun, rain or shine… First up was making the headlights brighter. Success! My guys are having the best time…

smitten

Ryder needed to give the Huggs a wash to get the salt off of it from living near the beach.

We’ve had some rain so I think it felt silly to wash it knowing rain was coming, but he was absolutely smitten with cleaning and detailing this truck..

Meet the Huggs🧡

This last weekend on February 7, we welcomed a 1970 GMC Custom Camper to the family. It’s in the original Hugger Orange, so we are calling it the Huggs. We got to surprise Ryder and it was so special!

Welcome to the family, Huggs! Our boy has been dreaming of having a truck like you!
