In an attempt to regain some much needed balance in our home, I have been going through every cabinet and closet to give away, throw away, or pull out to use. We have so much and there is so much that we don't use. So it is time to share.
Eden is my helper. Together, we have have done the kitchen, desk (what I affectionately call my office♥), our living room, and our bedroom. Kit did his closet too so the only places left to tackle are the kids closets and drawers, our bathroom and the hall closet. It feels so good! I used the hanger technique that I used back in the summer and got rid of so many clothes! The trick really does work. We had bags of clothes to share and to donate. It really is such a great feeling!
Eden of course wanted to help:
I can't tell you how much stuff I save, thinking that I am going to use it on some craft project. My desk had two drawers that needed help. I threw away two HUGE bags of trash. I am finally getting some space!:
My hope is that by de-cluttering and making space in our house, I can make room for things like craft supplies that I use on a regular basis, things that I love doing and that bring such joy, that I will cook a little more because navigating my kitchen is so much more pleasant, and I am a firm believer that when things around me are chaotic, I feel chaotic and this mama needs to feel as calm as I possibly can.
My prayer is that I would work on a heart of gratitude and contentment and thankfulness through this organization project. When I went through my clothes, I was embarrassed at how many things were just sitting there, not getting any use. These clothes need to be somewhere where they can be worn. They are bagged up, ready for a new home!

It's an amazing feeling and I am excited to keep going...
