This last Sunday we decided to make a last minute decision to head to the desert for the night to enjoy some time as we kicked off Kit's birthday week!
It's been a VERY long time since we have been in a hotel!
I hope the excitement never wears off...
The pool has an area called Splashtopia, complete with water slides and a lazy river:

Hanging at the poolside was also a treat:
And adding a fu drink made it feel even more like vacation:
The kids loved where we stayed ALMOST as much as they loved me taking so may pictures of them...
Then we headed to our favorite little Mexican food spot:
Because tacos are always a good idea...
Then the next morning, after swimming:
we headed to The Sandwich Spot for lunch:
Then on our way home, we stopped to the the dinosaurs and to grab some date shakes at Hadley's!
The trip was quick but just what we all needed! The kids ages are so perfect for the enjoying all the big and little things! I love this family of mine and I love that summer is here!
